Synthetic Data

The validation of DLITE on synthetic data requires the production of time series of colonies of cells moving around and generating tension as they do. Producing this data requires several steps, documented below. This is dependent on the installation of SurfaceEvolver. Please see their documentation for installation instructions.

• Generate Voronoi colony mesh
• Converting a colony mesh to a mesh suitable for use with SurfaceEvolver
• Convert SurfaceEvolver mesh to force network
• Compare imputed force network between CellFIT and DLITE
• Simulate FOV drift in a single colony
